The Midfield Chamber of Commerce plans to hold a
candidate forum for the Aug. 28 municipal election on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the
Midfield Community Center, City Clerk Tameeka Vann said.
There are only two contested races in Midfield this
year. Mayor Gary Richardson is facing a challenge from Councilman Reginald
Wilson for the city's top spot. James Reasor and John H. Thomas are vying to
succeed Wilson in the Council Place 2 seat.
Fox 6 news reporter Melanie Posey will be the forum
moderator, Vann said. The community center is at 401 Breland Drive.
Citizens of Midfield is invited to come to out and meet
their candidates and get to know why they want to serve their city.
