Susan Pace Hamill to run for State House in 2010

Appearing before a crowd of supporters at Trinity United Methodist Church, attorney Susan Pace Hamill announced today her candidacy for state House District 63. "Today, I am officially announcing that I am rolling up my sleeves," said Hamill, who is seeking the Democratic nomination.

A graduate of the Beeson Divinity School at Samford University, Hamill has focused her career on advocating for fairer tax policies rooted in faith-based moral principles, stating, " I believe the process through which government makes all policy should be premised on central moral and ethical standards."

Hamill is a first time candidate and new to politics. Hamill has been married to her husband, Brad Roane, for 27 years. They have two children, William and Nancy Lee, and attend Trinity United Methodist Church.
